    First meal question
I recently got my piebald through the mail this past tuesday. I haven't fed her yet, or handled her (except the first day to put her in the cage and to adjust the cage). High temp has been 89-91, ambient around 77-78, humidity 55-58%. The breeder said she was fed every 5 days on live medium mice, the last time being this past saturday (she was shedding though, and might have skipped it). I eventually want her on f/t rats, so I'm thinking of trying to feed her a live rat pup this weekend. She has been wandering around the cage at night, so I feel like she is settling in nice. My question is, should I wait to try to feed her? Also, should I just feed her a medium mouse first instead of a direct switch? Here's a picture of her

Go ahead and try. I would offer a f/t rat first thing just to see if she'll take it. If not then id try a live rat. And then the mice shes used to eating. (Not all at once tho lol).

I would try to feed her. Me personally would give her the live rat. But I don't feed f/t, so that could just be me not wanting to mess with it. :)

She at a f/t rat pup :). I had to hold it by her for about a minute first, but she went for it and got it down.

on a related note, should I wait 24 hours before handling her? or 48? or... longer?
