    super pastel male quality
Can someone comment on this male's quality? I am planning on buying him but I wanted to make sure he is a good example of a super 1st.

The male above is only 500g.

This is my pastel girl at 2,000+g and her head is more blushed out than his

It's a bad quality picture, which, to me, is an indicator that the bright color of the animal is greatly exaggerated...whether intentionally or not, I wouldn't assume, but I would not trust the look of that animal. The darker head, and the overall appearance almost makes it look more like simply a very nice pastel, rather than a super. Certainly not something I'd consider a really high quality super.

And now that I look at the picture again, it looks like someone has done some photoshop smudging of the head and some parts of the body...like someone tried to make the head look more faded than it actually is. I'd stay VERY far away from that purchase if I were you.

Beautiful snake, but I've seen much nicer supers, I'd hold out for a better looking super if I were you

Yeah I completely agree. Super pastels have very blushed out heads thats what really distinguishes it from its pastel counterparts and the snake in this pic does not have that. I would stay away!

The Good Folk of BP.net helped me choose this boy over another SP I was considering

    http://ball-pythons.net/gallery/file...pastel-m60.jpg

His head is so "blushed" it's nearly white and he got even lighter with his last shed.

Can anyone tell me me what he's going to 'turn into', eventually?

    Will the yellow get yellower?
Will the blushing stay that odd whitish color?

Seriously, I'm clueless about what to expect.

x2 to ^, very much! IF (and that's a BIG if!) that's a super, I'd pass on that one. It's a nice looking pastel but super...? I don't see it; the blushing isn't there on the head, the yellows don't "pop" and aren't vibrant like most supers and overall it just doesn't sell itself as a super. Your money and obviously entirely up to you but were it me, I'd take a pass on that one and if the photo has indeed been touched up, I'd blacklist that breeder/seller period for any future considerations, period. Good luck with your decision!

Here is another pic from the seller...I'm thinking it is just a nice pastel not a Super pastel...

    Picture broken :(

I'd also say it is not a super pastel. Don't do business with people who photoshop pictures of snakes they are trying to sell! That is very dishonest..
