Thats probably it. Give it some time they usually calm down with age. Details on enclosure? i.e. size, hides, humidity, temp?...

Could be one of three things:
    1) His personality
    2) Stress from improper husbandry, over handling, etc
    3) He's a nippy baby

Hatchling snakes are incredibly vulnerable and are hard-wired to be defensive and terrified of everything by default. Double check your husbandry and give the poor little guy some space.

He probably needs some time to settle in and get used to both you and his new surroundings. Moves are stressful. The two weeks of no handling will probably help so long as your husbandry is correct and there is no medical reason for his/her behavior.

Can you give us some husbandry information so we can be sure it isn't related to some issue there? Number of hides, temps, humidity, etc?

Also, do you have someone that is going to make sure he has water while you're gone for two weeks? Important to think about. ;)
