Feeding a sick mouse?

I've done some research on the subject, but wanted to hear input from you guys.

I breed fancy mice as a hobby. Occasionally, I'll have a sick mouse with one issue or another. I currently have one mouse with head tilt and another with a severe skin condition.

My question is this: would it be acceptable or detrimental to my snake if I fed it a sick (fresh killed) mouse? Does it depend on how sick the mouse is/what the mouse is sick with?

I have also recently treated my mice with ivermectin (though I may be changing to treating with revolution). Would this affect the snake?

This is not to say I plan to do any of this- just if/when I have a cull that I don't want to just throw out, I could freeze it and save it for a feeding day.

I wouldn't risk it... a mouse is worth far less than a snake (money wise)

From the other side of the coin, one life has already been lost no need to risk a second.
I would say that it depends on how sick/what the mouse has... I wouldn't ever feed a mouse that was recently on meds.

Thank you. I figured that was the case but wanted to be certain- especially with the meds issue.

I can get mice for .99 cents and rats for $1.50. I see no reason to feed off a sick animal.

Mice with head tilts are just having neuro problems. they should be fine to feed. I don't know about a skin condition..:bleh:
