If you are using the gallery like you did you copy the direct link code, then use the picture insert tool to insert it into the post

In the future I would host the pictures on another site (photobucket) then insert them into posts as seen in this thread:

You can't just copy the URL of the page, that doesn't work with the photo insert tool... you would have to use the Url insert tool

also make sure you dont stick an extra http: o the photo links, sometimes mine doesnt erase the preset
