Can shipping a male ball python get him out of the "breeding mood"?
I have heard that this can happen if you ship a male. Is it true?

yes it is very well possible it will go off breeding due to the stress of shipping as well as its new home. Now there are some that will continue breeding but it is not recommended to breed the animal right away as you want to do a proper qt to make sure the new animal isnt going to pass any sickness to your other animals

I've experienced just the opposite twice, as in the male went into breeding mode after being shipped. Ate right before being shipped but, couldn't get him to eat during the whole QT but locked right up when given the chance.

Seeing as you should quarantine for at LEAST 90 days I doubt that it will really matter.
