    Snake newbie in Connecticut!
I was at the reptile show in White Plains, NY today and decided to (finally!) purchase a ball python. I've been wanting a snake for years and love the variety of morphs that BPs come in.

After hours of deliberation, I ended up with a pinstripe male from Outback Reptiles. Since I'm a new snake owner, I opted for the snake I was most comfortable handling- there were many that looked absolutely stunning, but this guy was very calm as well. Something I need since I'm still a little nervous about handling him!

I'm considering dabbling in breeding in the distant future but for now this guy is just a pet. I do breed fancy mice and african soft furs.

I'm excited to get to know everyone here and learn more about caring for this beautiful boy!

If you don't already have a setup for him, a tub is THE WAY TO GO!!! I have my BP and Dumeril's Boa in Sterilite tubs, and it's so awesome. No problems with humidity, and I run both of their tubs heat off of 2' of 11" flexwatt heat tape. Whenever I need to travel, just put them in their bags, throw the tubs in the back of my jeep and I'm off!! AND, absolutely no problems with humidity :gj:

I am in Windsor. It WAS crowded there- I've only ever been to dog shows and a single mouse show, so seeing the massive number of reptile people was a really cool experience! I was accompanying the woman with the service dog- I'm sure we were pretty easy to spot!

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone!
