Excited to Add This Fella to the Nest!
I can never seem to leave a snake show without picking up something that I don't NEED, but have wanted for some time. For years I've loved Gray Banded King's, but declined adding them to my collection, because I'd heard that they can be hard to start on rodents, and may have to be scented with lizards. Catching fence lizards for the purpose of scenting has never been appealing to me.

When I found out that this little guy and his brother had already taken non-scented live pinky mice, I decided to pull the trigger. The lump in this little worm's belly was a f/t pinky that I left in his enclosure shortly after letting him settle in. Needless to say - I'm thrilled! I had read on some breeder's sites that for some reason, some of these guys like the scent of a previously frozen and thawed mouse.

Here's my new little French Fry!

I have to say - I was surprised by how mellow these guys are compared to my Cali kings and milks!

Awesome little guy! I have always wanted a Grey-Banded but have never gotten around to it, (I like you was worried about the whole lizard scenting thing from what I could find online) but its awesome that he's already feeding for you!

Again, he looks so nice. His red/orange is great, it looks to be a very rich looking color in some places. A very nice-looking worm!

He's actually that bright orange all over - the shadows are on part of him.

He had me at hello! LOL

Of the two, he was the lighter gray.

Probably because I always have an evil French woman with me, who enables me with "you should get it! Better yet, you should get a pair! "
