    Growing up!! :D
My 'lil guy isn't so little anymore!! Can snakes go through growth spurts? Or maybe time just flies  anyway he's grown enough that I think I should up his rat size but I still have about 40 small-medium rats. It there any issues in feeding 2 prey items at a time? He's not WAY too big for them but he is definitely a bit thicker than the rats now. Should I feed 2 rats and wait a little longer between feeds maybe? It's not ideal but I'd like to use what I have, obviously. Thanks for any input :)

you can double feed him if you wish, a lot of people do this with mice.

I would add an extra 2 days before the next feeding so if you feed every 5, wait 7.

Is there a bump after he eats?

If the meal doesn't leave a small noticeable lump anymore I would upgrade the prey size. Since you still have tons of small/med rats you would feed either more frequently or 2 at a time. I would prefer 2 at a time, with a longer interval between feedings. It really depends on what's more convenient for you.

I have the same problem as you i have a girl i though was going to grow much slower than she has. Not a bad problem to have but she should be on small f/t rats by now. I feed her f/t pups twice a week instead of once unless she takes 2 at one feeding very rare though.

They really do grow up fast don't they? I sometimes miss the baby days...

Feeding 2 at a time is risky. Even if the rats are much too small for him, unless they're half the size of an appropriate meal you're risking a regurge. Feeding more frequently (at that size one small meal per week should be fine) is safer.
