Need Help With hatchlings???

Alright do we cut our Mojave Mojave clutch yesterday at day 59. They were incubated at 87-89 and humidity at around 99. They still havent come out of the egg yet and the egg white is starting to go bad. The eggs have been cut for a day now. And we put saline in so they wouldnt dry out. Should we just pull the snakes out now before the whites go completely bad or just leave them for another day?

Don't pull the snake(s) out...can you post pics of the eggs so we can see what is going on?

You should have let them alone from the beginning. Pull them out and they're sure to die.
Leave them alone and let whatever that is going to happen happen.
There is NOTHING you can do to "help" at this point.

I don't think the OP did anything to them...? I think they are just asking for advice as to what to do.

Agreed. They cut at day 59 and people cut their eggs all the time usually around day 55 some earlier and some later like in this instance. I dont think cutting them really did anything to affect the eggs.

The only thing I could think of is that the humidity may be wrong. I know it reads 99% but if you have one of those dial hygrometers I have heard they can be sketchy especially if its just lying in the tub on the substrate then it will really throw you threw a loop. Double check everything and some pics would be great!

Pour out the whites, gently, and replace with the saline. (I've used plain water and had it work). The important part is to keep the living membranes and placenta, and yolk, from drying out.

Cutting at day 59 isn't a big deal(to me). And yes, there are things that can be done to help...

Anyway, warm up a spray bottle of water to incubator temp, spray in the eggs and wipe away any build up, gunk, and general nastiness gently. Spray again to keep moist...don't overdo it.

My advise, leave them be.
The egg whites turning funny colors isn't going to hurt them this late in incubation.
They are already fully developed
And also. Was the temps steady at a certain temp or was there fluctuations of 87-90?
If there were than that could lead to slower development.
But don't panic. They are fine.
As balls always do, they will do when they feel like. And not a moment before.

Also, a day after cutting and they haven't come out is not a surprise.
They may stay in there for a week just because they feel safe. Don't panic until you hit over a week and no "coming out" occurs.. maybe a little less than a week. Ya get ma drift?

I would certainly flush the eggs with saline. My one and only experience with losing a clutch was because I cut (too early mind you) and bacteria built up in the egg. That was in my early dumb days and I didn't know what I was doing concerning cutting. Flushing out the bacteria, and keeping the eggs well hydrated will keep those babies alive.

Alright thanks guys. Ive just never had this problem before. We have the temps at 88 but it does fluctuate from a degree now and then. The humidity is monitored digitally and has been fairly accurate from what we can tell. When we cut the eggs not a vein was hit and they are all alive. And from what we can see the yolks are only the size of an eraser head or completely gone.

Yeah im not the one whose freakin out my buddy is. I cant get any pics up now cause we keep all the snakes at his place. I told him before that after we cut it could take a couple of days. But he just freaks out easily so i told him id get some more opinions. Hes gonna flush out the eggs with more sailine now. Says its starting to smell rotten. But they are movin around alot.

Out of the five eggs there were 2 bels 1 mojave and 2 other we still cant tell yet. Might have a double sire clutch but until they come out we wont know for sure.
