    Check this out!
So i took hydra into the vet a couple of days ago and comes to find out her diagnosis was she has pinworms. She has been constipated lately and real gassy. So the doc squeezed some stool out and tested it. He said the pinworms may be causing the constipation. He said to bathe her 20 minutes a day in warm water and gave me a syringe of medicine to give her orally by mouth. So I am hoping she will get better. She did experience a rough week last week when the georgia ice storm came through and knocked my power out for 4 days. I had to move her to a hotel because it was oike 18 degrees outside and the heat wasn't working. So she moved a lot, and she didn't like it. Even tho it was for her benefit, she didn't understand. But all is well now, just that damn pinworm....

Is Hydra WC? Just asking cause I have never heard of a cb having pin worms.. if Hydra is cb, did the vet give you any indication how Hydra got the pin worms? Just asking also cause it may be something others may want to know just in case Hydra is cb and there is something that can be done to keep our bp's from getting them. Glad you got her taken care of though, I bet she will feel better real soon, and I bet she is thankful you noticed something was wrong.

Yes, hydra is cb. The vet told me they get the pinworms from their food. I feed hydra live right now and am in the process of beginning to switch her over to pre-killed then f/t. So, the pinworms come from mice and rats in pet shops. At least thats what the vet told me. But it is easily taken care of. She is given the same oral medicine children are given when they get pinworms.

what were the symptoms that something was wrong??

    just the constipation and gassyness?
I would tell the place you buy your mice/rats from that there infected live stock cost you a big fat vet bill and that they outta do something about it

There were no symptoms. I just got her a couple of weeks ago and was taking her in for an examination...But yes constipation was a symptom, and the vet told me she was gassy.
