Does anyone know if petco or petsmart will buy a ball python morph from people?

Not that I know of they won't, unless you know the manager and might be able to work something out with them. They tend to buy from the importers who buy them directly from Africa by the thousands. Petco/Petsmart can buy them by the hundreds for pennies on the dollar versus what they would have to pay an individual. If you have a local "mom/pop"/independent petstore in your area you could give them a try, depending on how receptive they are to reptiles.

Even if they do I never would... They treat their animals terribly.

    Improper caging/temperatures/humidity/feeding/handling.

    Unexceptable.

They don't, no - Petco buys from Calzoo Reptiles, while PetSmart buys from Sandfire Reptiles. :)

If your wanting to sell a snake put an add on your local classifieds.
I'm sure you'll find a more responsible home for your guy than any big box petstore could ever give.

No, they will not buy your BP. They can take it as an adoption and adopt it out (donations go to the petco foundation. Much of these donations go to local organizations, but I'm not certain it doesn't also benefit HSUS - so be warned, or do your research). You can try talking to one of Petco's suppliers (as mentioned previously, California Zoological is the primary vendor for herps for many stores), but they are pretty strict on who they do business with. You would most likely need to have a huge supply and go into a business agreement with them.

    against policy
it is against store policy to buy any pet from someone. The only thing they do sort of like that is take animals back if for some reason it doesnt work out. Has to be within the time limit on the receipt. I know Super Petz will accept pregnant mice and rats.

May I ask why it is that you need to sell yours?
