    Champagne Clown?
    What are your thoughts as to what this might look like? I'm thinking of purchasing a male champagne to pair up with my female clown I am currently paying off. I just wanted to get other peoples opinions on the pairing and if the clown pattern would actually show up good through the champagne.

    I know a lot of people say champs are pattern killers so . . . theres only one way to tell! You might be surprised and you may be disappointed you never really know what you are gonna get. I suppose if I were to do it I would breed a clown with a bit more pattern to it to see if some of that pattern can be picked up in the champ.

    Personally, I think the Champagne will kill off the pattern. If you look at pinstripe champagnes, their pin pattern is totally gone. Same with other champs.

    Nobody will know for sure what a clown champ will look like until it is bred, but that's just my thoughts.

    enchi adds pattern to the champ so if i were you i would take the high road and get a champ and an enchi. get some champs het clown and enchi het clowns and then breed them together. try for an enchi campagne clown.

    Yeah thats a great idea the enchi is really doing great things by bringing out pattern in some of those more patternless morphs! I think this would be your best bet at bringin out the pattern! :gj:

    Thanks for all the input guys. I think I am going to try it. I am gonna start saving up for a female champagne. A female enchi was already on my want list so I plan on getting that as well. :gj:

    Go ahead and let's see what happens. I'm planning to breed my male champagne to my female pastel clown next season if I can get her up to size. It's either him or/and one of my other males and breed other morphs to my female clown and some other het stuff.

    IMO the Champagne seems to take away pattern except in orange and green tones. Look at the champagne combo pictures on WOBP;
    There are a few morphs that seem to shine thru the champage; enchi and orange dream are great examples but some of the darker morphs like Leopard seem to come thru as well.
    I just bought a champ poss het red male today on a whim and started checking things out but so far thats what I see....
    As for the Champ Clown, I think the enchi/clown/champ project would be the ideal way to go; you still win even if the clown gets drowned out.
    Best of luck!
    Cheers
