Dubias set up

Looks good. One question....what temp are you keeping them at and how are you providing heat for them?

Yup, need heat. If dubias are kept at around 90 degrees, they breed like roaches. At normal room temperature, you won't see much breeding. Otherwise, it looks fine. I would keep it in a dark place. My dubia colony is in a large brown tupperware container under a table in my reptile room. They don't like light or being cool.

Right now they are kept in my back bed room and the air vents have been closed off to keep the room around 80-85 and they are under a table to minimize light. I have a heat pad to bump up temps just got to get a tstat.

Once you get that heat pad on there you will quickly see that you will eventually need a bigger tub. They breed very fast when warm. BTW....what are you feeding them to?

Yea, I already have a 10 gal set up for them once they out grow the tub, and for food they are getting stuff out of my garden (cukes, squash, zucchini),tropical fish flakes, and oranges

Instead of tropical fish flakes, grind up some cheap cat food. Much less expensive and works just as well. Also, once your colony gets bigger, you may need to use water crystals for moisture and watering. Those can be found in garden stores or on line. They are the same thing as the fluker's water crystals but much cheaper. Good luck!

I used high protein chicken feed for mine. No heat (they are in my snake room though) and they breed like crazy!

They are for my T, hopefully I'll be adding a pair of Leos soon too.
