Oh Kijiji (canadian craigslist). Why you people so silly.
So I am trying to sell my bearded dragon and her enclosure and everything else on Kijiji which is like craistlist but only in Canada.

Anyways I get this email this morning.

"Please do RESEARCH into the animal before you spout a claim, a pastel citrus tiger is COMPLETELY ORANGE, the pastel refers to the stripes being PURPLE. Your pics CLEARLY show this is a normal, common, beardie, not ANY morph. Babies will show signs of colouring FROM BIRTH."

Sent with a fake email that was reality@check sent by reality. LOL

I got this bearded dragon from a bearded dragon BREEDER. Not a pet store. From a long time bearded dragon breeder who is well know.

Here are the pictures of her I have posted on the ad.

Im far from a bearded dragon expert but your beardie does not look anything like any of the pastel citrus tiger bearded dragons that came up on google images... Unless shes just a really weak example of the morph.

Was she sold to you as that?

I couldn't even find a pic on google of a pastel citrus tiger. Just kept pulling up hypo citrus tigers. Regardless tigers all have banding on them and I see no banding on yours.

I am also not a beardie person but I'd say your is not a pastel citrus tiger.

Thats because everything on google images are hypos and leather backs.

She was sold to me as a Pastel Tiger X Citrus. Like I claim in the ad 4 times.

Find me a pic of a pastel citrus tiger to compare her to then. YOure right most of the stuff i was comparing her to on google wasnt pastel citrus tiger. It was hypo.

In the add you could claim she a purple elephant, doesnt mean she is one haha.

Color morphs aren't passed through simple genetics. It's kind of like hair and eye color in people. Morphs like Hypo, Trans, Dunner, Leatherback etc. have distinct and provable markers and pass on through Mendelian genetics. Traits like pastel, citrus, blood, etc do not have true markers and are up to the eye of the beholders. I can see how this trips up ball python keepers (and many others) who are used to keeping animals where the majority of an incredible variety of morphs all pass by Mendelian genetics with proven markers.

Your dragon looks like a nice looking orange dragon. I don't see any characteristics that would lead to a Citrus or Tiger label but it is still a nice looking dragon.

I hate to be a debbie downer, but your beardie doesn't appear to be a morph. The pictures you posted may not be showing of the colors right.
