Cage height for a male retic?
So, here's the Cliff's Notes back-story: A friend of a friend has a retic that he is trying to sell. If it turns out to be a male (theoretically smaller), and decides to give rather than sell, it might become mine. The retic is ~5ft long right now, and a little on the slim side, so I would expect it to grow pretty quickly once it has a proper feeding schedule (only one rat every two weeks "or so" right now :tears:). I really like the new expandable cage options at Boaphile Plastics, but I'm curious about the cage depth and height options. Is 2' deep and 12" high okay for an adult retic, or should I suck it up and go for the 18" height option? It's all still hypothetical at this point, but I want to know what this stray pup might end up costing me. :)

    At least 18 for sure in my opinion. I have a male and I'm looking at 6 x 24 x 24.

I keep my ~14' male tiger in a 6x2x2 and he seems fairly comfortable in it. Every one and a while he gets active and cruises around and I end up pulling him out to let him run around outside, but other than that he's a big lazy bum who sits there all day and only comes to the cage door when it's open to either come out, or get food.
