Thanks I cant wait for her, so exited that I already have her a 55 gallon aquarium set up only thing missing is her lol. The 55 gallon is temporary until I get her permanent enclosure built.

Congrats man, all of my tegus have come from Bobby and they're fantastic! I'm glad you mentioned the 55 was temporary, you'll be surprised how fast they outgrow that space!

I am still debating what size I want the permanent cage to be.
    I was thinking 8x4x4 but then that seems a bit much was also thinking like 6 or 7 x 3 x 3

Yeah, you could get away with even less height to be honest. The only reason to go with more height is for deeper substrate, they really seem to enjoy digging and rooting around. If you're building an outdoor enclosure I'd go 8x8 - not losing much money on the lumber there. Indoor, 6x4 would make a nice GU habitat.

For now gonna build a indoor since she will probably be with me most the time she is outside, next summer I might make her an outdoor cage.

Def go 8x4x4 if you can. Tegus are active, intelligent lizards and will never let any space allowed go to waste. You won't regret it either.

Here's a pic of an old friend that we lost to bone cancer a few years ago. He was a total sweetheart...

Sorry for the loss I was thinking bout going a little smaller since females dont get as big from what I hear, but not completely sure yet.
