Questions for admin-types

I was wondering if you could tell me how to use the e-mail feature. Also, what do the "ranks" mean that I see under user-names? (Private, Major, etc) I've wondered if it indicates different levels of membership (like free, $10, $20, etc) but can't find anything that mentions that.

The ranks are based strictly on how many posts a member has made. You start as a private, and work your way up to general, military style. There are no membership fees (but if you have lots of disposable cash, I'm sure we could find something to do with it!!!!)
If you would like an email account, send an email to admin@ball-pythons.net John Anderton, our illustrious leader, will set you up an email account. Let him know what you would like the password to be. The account most likely will be jlc@ball-pythons.net.
