Hatchling weight gain...

What is the average amount of weight gain in hatchlings after their first 3-4 meals?
Two of my holdbacks have doubled their weight after 4 meals (15% rule)...52 and 56 g to 99 and 106 g.
They are on a 3 day feeding schedule BTW.

Every 3 days seems kind of frequent, IMO. Other than that I've noticed that my hatchlings will gain a bunch pretty quickly but it goes down after they poop. So it's kind of a 2 steps forward 1 step backward kind of thing. Still stuck on the 3 day thing...I've always read/heard 5-7 days 10-15%. Slow and steady!

3 days seems very frequent to me also. I would say go to every 5 days. And get weights after they poop that is a more accurate weight.

I also feed mine every 3 days. just make sure that first poop comes before you give them too much. If they look like they really have to go, hold them and lightly message and BAM watchout. after that they should be fine. most of them won't need this done, but you should keep a watch for this even if you feed 5 or 7 days. with offering every 3 days I offer a little smaller than what most offer. In all the years I've been doing this, only had a few regurg. so this works well for me.
