Are you positive she is a she? Sometimes males will lockup.

And if you're sure it's a she, is she large enough for breeding? Females may lock, but if they aren't of proper weight, they sometimes just don't go.

Also remember that just because a female locks doesnt mean that she will go. One of my females locked every year, but was 7 before she laid and then waited another 3 years to give me another clutch. Silly girl.

yes she is a she. Well All 3 of the females he locks with are all females (yes he is a he). My other pair have been locking since dec and still nothing. So 4 females (2 since oct ish 2 since dec) and still nothing

Yes sometimes two males will lockup together. And sometimes people dont have what they think they have.

OP: maybe he isnt ready yet. How big is your male?

I know it is frustrating. I've got a pied female that I bred this year and documented 20 locks. This is her third year breeding and she still hasn't produced. Sometimes, you just strike out.

As for me, I'm not giving up on my pied female. I've got a few other pieds that did produce and I'll try her again next year. I'm not giving up yet. You only have one year in with this female. Give her a break and try again next year.

    Good luck!

Well I wish I could offer more than "just keep trying." I haven't bred yet either, had some locks but no ovy's yet. From what I understand they can be very stubborn snakes and some won't go until much larger than 1500. This is certainly a hobby that requires patience.

What?! Boy snakes can like boys? Awesome. If mine did I would get them rainbow hides so they know I support then.
