So my male 100% Het albino used to slam FT rats until 18 months ago during that breeding season. He was too young to breed, but apparently it did not stop him from sensing the female in cage above him. Needless to say, he has love on his mind, and not food. Finally after 3 months of not taking FT, I threw live mouse in, and bam, he took it.
Obviously he needed that stimulus, to get sex off his perverted brain. Since then, with long breaks (often 2 months at a time) he wont eat, so when he takes a live mouse, I follow it in, with a med rat. He never lost any weight, but didn't grow that fast either.
Today, i got the brilliant idea of throwing in a FT rat pup for the heck of it. He took it, plus another with 15 mins!
