    Did I Overfeed?
So my BP has been in shed for the past week and missed her regular feed day. This morning she shed, so I went and got her lunch. It has been 10 days since her last feed. She is normally on live rat pups (I pick the larger ones) but the ones at the store seemed very small. I decided to give FT a shot, and picked a small adult rat. By girth, the rat seemed like it would be okay. However, when my BP was consuming the rat, it seemed to be exceptionally difficult for her. She had a large bulge and even took a while to get snug back into her hide. I didn't weigh the rat, but I would estimate it to be around 20% of my snake's weight (300g):confusd:.

I'm pretty sure I'll skip next week's feed, but I want to make sure she isn't actually injured or something.

Also, her shed came off in 2-3 pieces, but was an entire shed. However she had a bit stuck on her tail. I'm talking literally 2 mm from the point. Is this something of concern or should I leave it?

    Thanks in advance!

Stuck shed on the tail can cause serious issues. It should be removed carefully

Sounds like the rodent was a little too big. 1 big meal isn't an issue as long as it isn't a reoccurring event.
