First Clutch Out of the Egg and a HUGE SURPRISE!
I had my first clutch of eight eggs fully come out of the egg yesterday! Turns out the clutch was a double sire having pins and mojos! pin and mojo x normal gave me: 3x Pins 1x Mojo 3xNorms and sadly 1x dead pin (the egg was crushed and it had looked very deformed when I cut it open :( but overall it was an awesome first clutch!!! Second HUGE SURPRISE was that I cut a clutch from a het pied female. I was totally shocked with the results since I had bred her with a pin, mojo, pastel, and a possible het pied male... Turns out both het pieds proved out!!! It looks like I have two pieds but I'm not sure yet!! All in all, this is a good first season for me, two clutches open, six more in the incubator, and I'm still waiting on two to lay!!! :):):)
Enjoy the pictures!! (sorry for the poor quality photos)

Excuse my ignorance but I haven't seen photos of eggs on paper towels before. Do you move the eggs to a dry tub after so many days?
I have them in a vermiculite/perlite mix but on day 56 I cut them, put them in another bin with moist paper towels, and set the bin back in the incubator. I do this so that when they come out of the egg, they won't be covered in medium!
