    Odd question
So when i got my bp set up i was talked into the wooden log(wish i found this site before i bought it lol), well i got some tubeware and i tried to switch my bp over. He just kind of wrapped around the tubeware and didnt go inside of it. Was wondering whats a good way to switch them to a new hide lol.

Typically I would just take out the old hide and put in the new hide. I keep away from logs, round tubes etc and stick to the more conventional PVC or Rock like hides. Having a hide you can just lift off your snake will prove to be beneficial in so many ways.

Keep in mind you should have two identical hides, one on the hot and cool side to allow your snake to thermoregulate at their leisure.

Take old hide out... Place new/better hide in. Not much else you can do. If your BP doesn't like it, it may not be a good hide for him/her.

I use these hides from reptile basics:

How much do those cost? Ya i know but when i took the log out and put the rubber bowls in he just wrapped around it and laid there. Felt bad for him lol so wound up putting the log back in but i want to get rid of it soon so im looking for a better reuseable hide.

They are very cheap. Here is where you can get them:
