Why post the same thing in multiple forums ???
I have been noticing the same post, word for word, in multiple forums. And it's more than one person doing it. What's up with that? :confusd:

Different people belong to different forums, so if you have information or question and want go reach the largest amount of people, you post it in multiple places, there probally over 100 reptile related forums, I personally only really look at 4, and I'm only truely active in this one.

Do you mean in multiple places on this one site or over multiple sites?

    x2

What kind of posts are you referring to? Photo posts? Maybe people want to show off their cool stuff to a wider audience. Especially if that person has plans to breed! Maybe they're trying to get their name/face out there :gj:.

I only post here and on 1 or 2 FB groups.

I have 5 forums that I use for info. When I have questions I will "word for word" post in all of them. This allows me to get as much information as possible, whether it is good or bad. Growing trends in different areas of the country is a great thing to know, and what is good for a reptile in Southern Florida may not be the best in Edmonton Alberta. ie: outdoor housing in the winter.

Posting in difference places will give you a higher density of responses/opinions/advice/criticism from different people.
Not every roams the same forums, so you get a variety of responses to a post by writing in multiple places.

That is why I might do it, This way i get thoughts from different parts of the country or even the world to help me make the best choice.

As seen above, you will get many more responses if you ask more people...

I see your points but it just confused me because I don't think there is a forum that would provide better advice than this one.
