    I'd like to show off one of the most beautiful animals that I've ever kept, even though she's gone now.
    Meet Bellatrix, the southern black widow spider:

    We found her living in our garage last November. Initially, I wanted to let her out in our yard, but my mother decided that she was too big of a threat to be released. I ended up keeping her over the winter, until she died this May. It was horrible losing her, but the few months that I was able to observe her was worth any trouble she caused.

    Sorry for your loss, but she was a beautiful spider!

    For some reason, I don't dislike watching spiders, I just don't want them near me or crawling on me. Not that anyone would want this species of spider crawling on them, haha.
