New member with some questions
Hi everyone, some of my friends keep pythons, and I have always loved them so I have swatted up on them for years and I thought I knew a lot about them, but. I have just bought a pair today and they are youngsters, so I'm having to wait for 3 strikes and 3 sheds till I can take them home, which I'm fine with. This also gives me at least 3-4 weeks to get a good set up ready for them. Now like I said I thought I had a lot of knowledge, but now the snakes are mine I'm second guessing myself, so my question is.
Is it ok to keep two hatchings in a 2ft viv aslong as I have hides in all hot and cool areas. I know they don't like feeling exposed but they also don't have the luxury of heated vivs in the wild.
I'm sorry to ask a question that may have been asked a thousand times before, but I also thought it would be a good excuse to introduce myself.
Thanks for looking and I look forward to any feedback.
Darren.

It is not a good idea to keep 2 snakes in the same enclosure. There are several reasons for this first being it stresses both animals. Second if one snake become ill the second is exposed as well. Also it makes it a lot more dificult to keep track of which snake produced stool or regurged ETC. I know you see them in multiples in a pet store (I wont name names) but housing snakes together is a bad idea. They are not social animals and what looks like snakes cuddeling is actually snakes fighting over the good heat source or hide spot in the enclosure. As far as size 2ft is a little large for a hatchling but with plenty of material to hide in it can be made to work:)

Ahh, but they do have the right temperature range in the wild which is what your tank is recreating. ;)
