Desert posts

So I've been seeing a lot of post about deserts lately in a lot of places. Now with the problem the desert females have with reproducing I have two questions. First if desert females pretty much dont reproduce what should you do with them when you produce them, if you sell them as pets how do you know that they won't be bred. Second with all that being said, why are desert females so expensive? I think the desert spider is one of the coolest looking morphs around but why would I buy a female if there is such a risk breeding her and why would I spend that much money on something to look at when a male can replicate it's self?

No guarantees as to what happens to a snake once it's out of your hands. I won't be producing Deserts probably ever, but really think I would rather just give females to family/friends as pets where I can kind of keep track of them.

one thing that controls all prices, supply and demand, some people just want a cool looking animal and aren't in it for the money and then some people are still trying things to see if they can get viable eggs from them.

I'm hoping that the pricing will get to the point where they are affordable as pets, and it becomes common knowledge of their problems. People will still breed males into other morphs, and inevitably get females....it's all about education at this point.
