    my big boy
My male just shed. he is about 3-1/2 to 4 feet. he has been eating and doesn't seem to be in distress. Seems normal. His shed today was beautiful and complete but there was a little tiny bit of blood on the tail part so I looked at him and his butt is red. I am gonna let it go for a couple days to see if it clears up. Could it be a complication from a shed because I have never seen that before and he doesn't seem abnormal acting either. As active as he ever is and eating the same as he ever has. Any ideas?????

A small amount of blood at the tail is 100% normal. The shedding process can make the vent of a snake bleed a little. As long as it isn't gushing blood you have nothing to worry about.

Thank you very much....whewww. LOL with all of the sheds I have seen with my 3 I guess I have never seen that, or maybe paid close enough attention.
