    Anyone got one? Have any experience with this species? I know they tend to stay within 18-24 inches and are the smaller of monitors..but what about temperment, etc. I have been looking on the net for weeks, but cant get any solid info. I contacted a breeder I found, but got no response.

    :) Are you talking about the Blue Spots, We have a pair.
    The wild caught timors are very shy.
    Ours eat canned monitor food & raw & cooked eggs & crickets , my male will eat mouse pinks sometimes.
    we talked to someone that bred them before & he said they are one of the biggest of the dwarf monitor species.
    he says they can get upto 30 inches long & very heavy bodied.
    Try to get info from proexotics, they bred them last year.
    They NEED A BIG ENCLOSER VERY TALL LIKE 8ft Tall & 6ft wide . they love to climb & bask in tree limbs. They need a set up like a canopy rainforest. :lol:
