    Let keep this moving!!
Ok, I'm sure a million people have asked about this but I'm a failure at searching, lol. Would an everyday black light fixture/bulb (the kind you'd hang over a poster) be ok to illuminate a ball enclosure? I'm having AAAALLLLLLL kinds of ideas for a custom ball enclosure I could be building this summer. I'd be nice to have a cage be lit up at night without disturbing/harming anything, and I already have a fixture so that cuts down cost. Any experiences?

    black lights
I really don't think that the black light would be a problem for the snake. But I'm not shure so let see what the other guys have to say about it. I would like to know to  .

Dont see why it would'nt, especially when a smaller black light is ok. Dont hold me to it though, Im deffinetly not an expert on this. I have one also that I have thought about hanging above my BP's tank.

I use a black light to light up my boys cage, and it does not seem to bother them at all. Use a low wattage so it wont heat up thier enclosure too much though.

i think it's no different than a regular light to them.

Lights are lights, at least when talking about non uv bulbs.
like house bulbs are the same thing and provide as many benefits to your ball pythons as do store bought "basking bulbs". same thing. A black light would be the same as a store bought "night basking light"
    thanks
