    Garter (?) eating a Squirrel
    I think it's a garter, anyway. If I'm wrong, please correct me!

    Someone I went to high school with posted this on Facebook. They were on a run and came upon this little slice of nature, so they stopped to take a picture.

    I doubt a garter would be big enough to take down a squirrel but who knows lol?!

    I thought it was odd that a garter would be that big but I have never seen any other striped snakes around here. Learn something new every day. :)

    That is really an awesome find. I have found a number of Black Rat snakes this year but no Yellow Rat snakes like that. In fact my daughter and i just took pictures of a 5 footer at my dad's house on Thursday. It's pretty amazing what their jaws can acoomodate when it comes to eating.
