Can someone please give me a detailed explanation on how to ship with them. Do I have to drop the package off somewhere or does someone come pick it up from me? please help because i am so confused.

You can have the package pick up however this means the animal will have to spend more time in the box and be on the truck for a few hours before getting to the hub.

The best IMO is to drop off your package directly at the hub an hour before their last express pickup, this limit the time the animal will have to spend in the box and the box will be kept in a air conditioned room, a much better solution especially in the hot months.

They have a 7:00pm drop off (double check the site) which will allow you to beat the heat and make sure your animals are safe. A late drop off is especially important if you are delivering somewhere that still requires a heat pack for the low with your Arkansas heat.

I have always had snakes picked up from my house since I have been shipping (about five years), and have never had any issues. As long as the snakes are packaged correctly, there should not be a difference from dropping them off or having them picked up. It does cost a few more dollars to have them picked up, but I would spend more than that in gas driving them to a hub.

ive dropped them off an had them picked up both with no problems. the cold winter months i will drop them off an hour before the last pick up this way i know they have less of a chance being stuck in the cold. like Eddie said as long as its packaged right you should have no problem

It depends on the temperatures. In most cases, there probably is no difference but hot days can be lethal riding around in the back of an overheated truck. As an example, I sent a shipment out last week to a city where the low was in the 40s, thus needing a heat pack. At 3-5pm (pick up times) here at my location, the temperature was in the mid 90s so the back of the pick up delivery truck would probably be in the 110s. 110s + heatpack would most likely be lethal. Even if it wasn't, there's no way I would subject an animal to that heat in an enclosed container! By dropping the package off at 7:30pm, the temp was already in the mid-low 80s and quickly dropping to a comfortable and safe temp even with the heat pack.
