laying process time? is she done?
So I just checked on my female het ghost, I see one good egg and a slug, she still looks like she's got more in her, I just don't know how often I should check on her? There were times when I counted 4 eggs in her and sometimes I thought I felt 6. So yeah from the way her tail looks and from what I THOUGHT I counted I don't think she's done.

I don't know how long to wait to check on her & take her egg(s)

An hour? 2 hours? 4 hours? I just don't want the egg that looks nice n healthy to dry out as I'm waiting lol. My first breeding a couple yrs ago, I got lucky she was done and I found a nice clutch of 8.

Any advice would be great.. Ty :)

I really hope I get my ghost but if she completely slugs out with the rest of her eggs my chances with one egg seems less than promising

Couple hours.. ahhhhh its killing me lmao.

Charger is about 4 yrs old, she's a horrible eater, goes through many spells of not wanting to eat. I finally decided to breed her when she hit 1700+ grams. She's long so I didn't want to breed her at 1500. So I'm so excited about this clutch, its been a long time in the making lol

Her tail will look empty. If you think she's done pick her up and palpate her. If you feel eggs, then let her be. She will be done soon. Hope this helps.

Some females take more or less time if you think she is finished take the eggs and while you do so check if she has more in her, you obviously do not need to palpate for eggs as they are visible if present, if she is not finished put her back and come back later to see if she is done.

Waiting 2 more hours will not hurt the eggs either, I have collected eggs coming back from work before after they were laid early in the morning without any issue, I even found eggs 1 or 2 days later and they still were fine.

Well she is done, 3 good eggs (2 are Boob eggs) and 2 slugs. The 3 have nice veins but they were scattered. I'm hoping they didn't roll at all. Fingers n tails crossed for a visual ghost :)

    Ty everyone!!!
