Okay, I'm completely new to ball python care, handling, and owning in general. I'm planning on buying one at the next reptile expo in my area, but I want to have a good idea and I want the tank set up before. What are the necessities I need, a good price to look at, all the basics. Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Pricing depends on what you want. You can probably get a hatchling normal with a really tub setup for under 100 dollars. But a hatchling black eyed lucy in a custom plastic cage could cost well over 5k. You can go up or down from there, it's all in what you're willing to pay. In general, as with most things, you get what you pay for.
