    Caring for the mother
I have already gotten many responses on my surprise eggs and how to care for them. But I haven't been able to find much on caring for the mother after. I know there is a "fattening" stage but how long does that last?

She laid her eggs on the 7th and I've been feeding her smallish ASF's ever 4 days since then. When do you start going back to the old feeding schedule? I don't want to over feed her.

Thank you for looking and taking the time to respond :D

I feed my adult females small rats on a normal 7 day schedule as soon as they start eating after laying.
It's pretty difficult to over feed most adult females, mine will just start refusing if I offer too often.

I normally feed a slightly smaller meal for the first couple of feedings then put them back on small rats once every 5 days. Feed her like you would normally feed her an shell put the weight back on in no time.
