Brand New BP owner... condensation in the hide?
    Good morning all!

I JUST got my 2012 male bp yesterday from Renick Reptiles. When I took him out of the bad, he was hissing a lot, so I put him in his tank (didnt want to get bit lol) but my real question is that I'm concerned because when I lifted up his hide on the warm side, there was condensation all on the inside of the hide. I have cypress mulch, and the temp is usually 88-89.

I'm sure this cant be healthy, what should I do?

    thanks!
    Johnny

    What is your humidity at?

He may have pee'd in there. If not you have to find a way to get more air flow in the tank to lower the humidity.

I've never had condensation at 62%. My pastel is in shed and his humidity is at 75% and there's no condensation. I still think he could have urinated in the hide at some time last night.

cypress mulch holds humidity and moisture really well, just try cleaning the area the hide is on maybe put a smaller paper towel under the hide.. try and fix it asap and then just leave him for like 3/4 days then start handling like 5-10mins a day dont wanna stress him out too bad..

and i x2 the air flow

I was thinking that could be it too.. but the substrate is dry? I'm just really paranoid that he is going to get an infection of some kind.
