Feeding Dubia Roachs

I am getting a pair of leos at the end of the week and was wondering if anyone was feeding with dubia only. And how they are doing on it.

I don't feed mine dubia, but I would like to start supplementing with them. I have heard from most that feed them have to offer them by tweezers, otherwise they will just go and hide under the substrate. My geckos are kinda shy so I'm not sure how well that will work. I've been feeding superworms with an occasional cricket treat with no problems so far.

If you don't want to hand feed with tweezers every time you can just use them to crush the heads on the roaches then leave them on their backs. They'll kick/twitch their legs for many days before expiring.

I supplement with dubias. I also don't like hand feeding mine so I put the dubias in their feeder dish. I use the glass votive candle holders you can get at Walmart for 2/$1 :)

Since dubias can't climb glass or smooth plastic, any feeding dish that is made from those materials that is deeper than they are tall should keep them in!

I heard someone, I dont remember where, say they pull the legs off them, or put then in a deep smooth dish.

Feeding dish works pretty well but the gecko creates an easy escape route/bridge when he's in there eating! :D
