    Is this anything to worry about?
    Kira has these white scales in her pattern. Is that anything to be worried about? It's not a mold or anything, but white colored scales. The color variation makes some of her marking look like the Star Trek insignia. Maybe I should have named her Uhura.

    If you are referring to the white scales in the middle of the circle, they are completely normal. Just pigmentation and nothing to be concerned about.

    Different markings on ball pythons have been given different names. The ones you're pointing at there are called flames. :)

    White centers are found on the largest flames, commonly. They're considered desirable markings, adding to the snake's beauty. :)

    Thanks. I've been reading on this site and others for hours everyday trying to learn. I love my girl so much and see the beginnings of another addiction coming on (my other is iguanas).

    I have alot of admiration for people who successfully raise and keep iguanas. I think that I would have a better chance at lion taming... :colbert:
