Odds Gods were in my favor

Okay, so i realize that the Odds Gods are usually for breeders waiting for clutches and such but... They really helped me out with getting a really gorgeous pastel male! Here's the story. My cousins were in town and are looking for more females to add to their collection. I knew of a Pastel at a small pet store where i buy my rats for Perry, my normal female. I went to check him out and get him sexed to see if they were going to take it with them. As i was checking him out i totally fell in love with the snakes personality and on top of that it was B-e-a- utiful! It turned out to be a male and my cousins said they didn't want him.... well i did but my mother said absolutely not. I was only allowed two snakes and the second one is still waiting to be laid and hatched at this point (He's on wait order). I waited a month and the Pastel was still at the pet store and i was going on vacation with my mother, alone. After about twenty four hours of hearing my constant, 'why i want ANOTHER snake and why i want HIM and not just any other snake' she finally agreed!!!:D:D:D:D So the entire time i was on vacation i was making plans, thinking about names, and figuring out when to officially go get him, and who was going with me to get him. So today at ten my best friend and i are driving to the pet store and picking up my new Pastel male named Draco, named after the dragon on Dragonheart, and yes there will be TONS of pictures posted to this thread so no worries, we just have to get him and pay! As far as I'm concerned, the Odds Gods are on my side today :)

Thank you and yeah I'm still happy with him, he has a very quirky personality which is something i can relate to

I'm confused??? This thread was about getting a gorgeous Pastel? The snake in the photos is a Normal...Nice snake, but far from a "gorgeous" Pastel. Am I missing something?

No youre not missing something. She thought it was a pastel when she posted it so now after picking it up and posting some pics she has been informed in both this thread and another that it is in fact not a pastel.

It waws a rookie mistake i know... but i was excited, and still am :) He's still amazing and gorgeous to me

I still like him. He is a really pretty animal. Normal or not, he is very nice. And I wouldn't be sorry I got him.

Besides, I knew what pastels looked like when I went shopping for one. All I found was a dirty brown male that sure wasn't what I was looking for. Exactly the opposite of what I was looking for in fact. He is to be honest, everything I would NOT recommend in a pastel. Certainly he was not an animal I would buy, not in a million years.

He's going to be a daddy in another month and a half. :weirdface

To my credit, he's gotten nicer since he's been here. Although to this day I am not sure how he got here. He is however, by far the sweetest and most people friendly snake I own.
