I am going to be getting my first BP in a few weeks and I was told (and have read in a few places) that rats have much more nutrients, so they are prefered over mice if you snake will eat them.

Rats will be easier, when your BP gets bigger you won't have to worry about trying to switch from mice to rats. The previous owner of mine fed mice, I am going to be switching soon.

I have an avid mouser she just wont eat rats most the time and she is doing fine. the reason I prefer rats is when the snake is much older with over 1000G on them you end up feeding several mice at a time which is not only time consuming but more expensive. Switching to rats is easier when they are younger. So that is why I recomend rats as soon as you can:)

The "fluffs" are closer to 15% of your snakes weight. In my opinion he would probably outgrow the pups too quickly. I would wait for someone else to weigh in though.

I would say fluffs but you may want to wait until he is a bit larger maybe 100 grams first. Also I listed in your other thread US sizes. Here pups are normally in the 20-30g range.
