Cages!

Hi, I was just researching what cages are the most preferred for hots. Just got interested in it and wanted to know which ones were the best, just for reference.

(Note: I don't plan on getting any hots in the near future, I'm just curious)

Anything but vision cages. I have read horror stories about them.

Vision cages have the glass doors indented into the face of the cage. This creates an overhang that a hot can get into and hide. That is a situation you never want to be in.

We keep baby hots in the zilla tanks with the locking lids. Neos are great for hots. Visions are ok but like mentioned above they can get up in the dents above and pop down on you. There are a few models that dont really have as much of the dent in the top. Also you want to be careful the snake is big enough to were they can not squeeze between the sliding glass. Animal plastics make a great cage for hots if you get the side opening doors they have kep lock so if you put your keys on a ring you can actually open the door with a snake hook.
