Burm Breeding- worth it at all?
I'm looking at getting into burms, anyone still working with the species and getting local sales? I'm having a pair offered to me for $300, normal male, albino female. Both are around 12ft.
Is it going to be worth it in the long run? I love the species and being around them, but if I'm going to get 0 sales I may as well just get 1 and have a pet and put my focus into other pythons rather than burms, but if I can still squeeze out local sales it could be worth it...
Any input would be appreciated.

Doesn't seem to be much of a market here at all, no one really working with them from what I've seen- which is a real shame. I'd hate to see these guys die out in the pet trade completely, it's really a shame.

Depends I guess, though I would tend to think not. Burms have a lot of babies...how many can you produce before you flood your local market? You'd have a good amount of snakes to sell off either as pets or potential breeders. Can you find 40+ people in your state to buy a pet burm...and though it wouldn't really be your problem, how many out of those 40+ will be suitable burm owners. Selling them off as potential breeders would only give you a couple years till others are producing more snakes and further over saturating your area. If you live in a large state, how will you handle sales across your state? Shipments will likely go out of state before coming back, and it most likely wouldn't be worth it to drive potentially hours on the buyer's or seller's end.

I am wondering what the offspring would be from an albino to a hypo burm would be? Would it be worth doing or should I just keep them as pets? I have a male albino and can get a female hypo. I am pretty sure the an albino to an a green patternless albino will net all albino's. I just haven't researched gene's in burms too much. Are they the same as ball pythons? Thanks.

Hypo x albino produce hypo, albino and pearls. An albino x albino patternless green albino would produce albino het green, unless the albino is het green, then you would produce albinos and albino greens.
