Today was feeding day, so I had to go to the local reptile store and pick up two live adult mice for my two little bp's that refuse to eat anything else. When I got home, I thought, why not? And I killed one of the mice and opened up one of their cages and BAM! He took it within 2 seconds!! I couldn't believe it! The one that only takes live, and I didn't even have to fight him, lol. So then, on to the second picky-eater. A genius thought came over me to kill the mouse for the second snake, as well. Sure enough, I opened the cage, and the little one just happened to be out getting a drink of water, smelled the mouse, and BAM! Took it INSTANTLY! I was so happy, I mean, it's not like I tried starving them, they just ate 5 days ago. It was really weird, and I really hope it isn't just a one time thing, lol. It makes me wonder, though. I mean, why do they act the SAME way? (Both ONLY taking live mice, then acting the SAME way toward a f/k mouse after COUNTLESS attemps at f/k and f/t)?? And, the funny part, I got them both the same day from the same breeder (the Sutherlands), and they are both het albino, lol.
Weird ones, I tell ya... Anyway, just thought I'd share. :D
