:D New Breeder Advice??

Hey everyone, I have a quick question. As of now I have 0.1 Spider and 1.0 Pastel, I still have quite a good amount of time before I can breed either. But being that I have recently accuired my first Job (Im 17) I am now looking into another female to expand my collection. Do you guys recommend going ahead and buying a breeder size female to produce sooner? Or being patient and buying a baby female. Also,I have about 300-400 to spend, what morph would you add to my collection.

hmm.... I think fires, mojaves, pinstripes, cinnamons or enchis. and i really like pastel yellowbellies too but if you take a look at the combos from all of these and pick out which ones you like most that fit your budget thats the best way to go. I am not sure if you could get proven females of these types for 400 bucks but you might find something if you keep an eye out but given they are females they will be harder to come by than male proven breeders. I was really looking into both cinnamons and enchis. I really love what enchis can do in every morph.

Right now enchi ladies are a little more spendy than the others that I suggested but seeing as you have just got a job if you saved up a little bit more you would be able to get an enchi. Also the yellowbelly isnt a real impressive morph either but when you start combining them theres a ton you can do with them. This is ofcourse if you decide to do more later on down the road. If thats something you are considering than the enchi is definitely something that I would strongly recomend. However I fully intend on adding all of those I listed to my collection but my goals could be entirely different than yours.

Do you know about how much your spider and pastel currently weigh? When were they hatched?

Young females are less expensive than larger breeder BPs, and may be easier to find. For that kind of money I would look at adding a 0.1 Lesser or maybe an Enchi. It really depends on what you would like to produce in the future.

Lessers/butters are never a bad choice either and can be found relatively cheap.

Definitely go with a younger snake in my opinion, but I love watching mine grow from babies. In my opinion when they get to breeding size it is that much more rewarding since it will have been your care and good husbandry that got them there!

As for the morph, I would get a female VPI axanthic. I freakin' love axanthics and in my opinion the VPI is the best one of them. With a female VPI you could put any male bumblebees that you produce with her to make some VPI bumbles (quite possibly my favorite BP), and you would also be able to produce axanthic pastels.

When are you looking to buy? You could find females on Kingsnake right now for about what you are looking to spend...
