Do they always glow before they go?
Ivy my spider has 7 very large follicles (you can see faint lumps when hold her up with her tail dangling). Not enough build to ovulate yet but I was wondering is if they always glow before ovy?

To different degrees. My spider female is glowing as we speak and she looks exactly like a honeybee, however, I have a normal girl who has follicles the same size and i can only tell shes glowing when I look very closely at older pictures of her. Even then, its mostly around the head and neck.

I've always been able to notice a glow. Some of them are very very faint.

(all four of these girls laid for me)

Usually you will still be able to see the neck glow. These two girls are hard to see glowing, but the neck glow is somewhat obvious, that patch right behind their skull.

This girls head spot gets really bright, as does the rest of her

And this girl glows like there is no tomorrow

    Her neck glow is crazy

As Stephanie said, they all glow. Some glow huge, I saw pictures here of a Pinstripe who had such glow she looked like two different snakes. Some glow small, just the patches right behind the head and neck.

Can someone post a before and during glow shot of their snake(s)?

Here is the link to the Pin I was talking about. You can see the change can be outrageous!

They start glowing before ovy, stays during ovy, and (at least in my girl who has ovulated) the glow has faded as the eggs grow but is still faintly there.

Thanks everyone! I really think this girl is gonna go, she has started to refuse food as well having obvious follicular growth :)

Hoping for some bumble bees and if I'm very lucky I'll have her and the male prove het. for ghost.

The glow starts shortly after the pre-ov shed comes off and last through the ovulation and until they throw their prelay shed.
I have noticed some will retain some of the "glow" after the shed but lose it before laying.
