Anyone else been catching this on TLC?

IMO, the shows a complete joke. I watch it with my grandmother and even she cringes at the artwork the "students" do.

I don't think it should even be on television. Tattooing can't be learnt in two weeks :/

There's a group on fb for this "show". People watching this show don't even know WHY people are considering this show is a joke.

I watched an episode where the client wasn't even aware that the person who tattooed her had never done another tattoo on a person. That's something I'd kinda like to know.

I've watched it, and I agree some of the art is pretty shoddy (I know they are inexperienced though, and people need to start somewhere). I was telling my bf that when it comes to an art trade (or probably any trade) some people are just NOT good at it. But practicing makes perfect, and I myself am always growing as an artist with flat work and airbrush work.

They may need to start somewhere, but there should be a LOT of time spent before even considering tattooing another person.

I've seen people tattoo pig skin(takes ink like our skin) or grapefruits.

I've let my tattoo artist's apprentice do her first tattoo on me. Other than being heavy handed and spending a LONG time on it, she did a great job

Some of the tattoos that these people do would make me CRY if I had that on me for life

Nah, though I'd love to learn someday. I love (nicely done) tattoos in general though.
