    Genetic groupings
Just pondering the different groupings. I would say the blue eyed Lucy complex is the best known. Very popular as of lately are the yellow belly ones and the black eyed Lucy's. I've been thinking about the black pastel/cinnamon ones. I'm wondering if anyone has bred say an onyx and if it breeds as a super. Gary lieson has said his founding black pastel trick throws no normals, is trick then in the same "grouping"? Het red? I would be interested in seeing a discussion on this topic. Not just on the last group but on all of them.

There really not much to discuss, after a couple breedings statistics basically says these genes sit on the same locus. Just need people to do the breedings. We more commonly call the groupings, complexes. I never saw anything about the trick black pastel, got a link?

    Here's everything I've ever herd of... http://www.owalreptiles.com/complexes.php

It was in an email from Gary now that I think about it.

For the black eyed complex I would bet the disco and lucifer are included.

    Found a reference by Gary.

I would agree disco has a good chance, super looks similar to the cream. and after looking at lucifer and it's combos.... I don't see anything that says it's not an another line of vanilla. So if we call it a separate morph, I would highly suspect it to be part of the complex.

thanks for the link, it really does sound like trick might be part of the complex, assuming the statistics are there. I'm going to have to contact Gary and ask him about it.
