    Constantly wanting food
So spock went on a small food strike and didn't eat for almost a month. He dropped from 220g down to 190g during that time. Then he started eating again with the weanling rats I bought him. He has been chowing down on those and is now up to 286g the last time I weighed him. So I feed every Sunday. Last Sunday he was on his F/T rat within seconds of me dangling it. And then proceeded to cruise around looking for more so my DH decided to feed him another one which he took again right away(so 66g) He continued to cruise around looking for more and would come out of his hide ready to eat any time anyone walked past his tank. Finally he went into his warm hide to digest. Well today(Wed) he is back out looking for food again. He's super aggressive about it. Is this normal? He ate so much on Sunday, but now there isn't even a hint that he recently ate.

*bump* I have no idea, but you might want to just feed him smaller meals more often.. Then maybe that would keep him satisfied... You should look it up. That is strange, I thought it took them longer to digest.

At that size I feed mine every 4 days meals that are 15% of the BP's body weight... that seems to work really well for me.

Once that hit 500-600 grams I switch them over to 8 day feeding schedules.

It takes them about 48 hours to digest.

I would say just keep him on his regular feeding schedule, and increase the size of his meals to small rats around the 45 gram +/- range. It sounds like he may be having a growth spurt...
