    Importing BPs
I was just wondering if importing too many BPs can cause a decrease in the population in the wild. I had a very well known, reputable herp vet tell me that he predicts the BP population will be on the endangered list in the next 5 years or so due to the high numbers of imports and the fact that BPs have small clutches compared to other species of snakes. Basically we are importing more than they are able to produce in the wild. I sometimes see people post about a new import they got as a dinker project hoping to produce a new morph but I'm wondering if we are hurting the wild population by doing this too frequently.

No. They are closely regulated by CITES, and in fact are considered pests in some areas of Africa. They are not in danger of being depleted in the Wild.
